Other Information

USS THETIS BAY earned the Navy Expeditionary Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 1 Battle star, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal w/ "Asia" clasp, the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (3 awards) during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - An inlet at the south end of Tebenkof Bay on the west coast of Kuiu Island in the Alexander Archipelago of Alaska.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. Ricco Botta.
