Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. Postmarks

Other Information

SAGINAW earned the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, two Navy Expeditionary Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, four Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals, the Southwest Asia Service Medal and two Humanitarian Service Medals during her US Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A river in central Michigan formed by the confluence of the Flint and Shiawassee rivers and flowing north to empty into the Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron.

Two ships of the US Navy have been named SAGINAW - USS Saginaw (Screw Steamer 1860) and USS Saginaw LST-1188.
There is also a US Coast Guard ship named SAGINAW - USCGC Saginaw WLIC-803 currently in commission.
