This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. Postmarks
This section lists examples of the postmarks used by the ship. There should be a separate set of postmarks for each name and/or commissioning period. Within each set, the postmarks should be listed in order of their classification type. If more than one postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest known usage.

image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

The ship had been reclassified to MSC-200 the previous year, but the ship's return address stamp still showed its former designation. The ship had no postal facilities.
Other Information
NAMESAKE - A northern European songbird, the smallest of the thrushes, with an orange-red patch on the underside of the wings.
The ships sponsor was Mrs. Courtney W. Campbell, wife of US Representative Campbell of Florida.
Three ships of the US Navy have borne the name REDWING - USS Redwing ARS-4, USS Redwing MSC-200 and Redwing YTB-783.
