Postmarks
This section lists examples of the postmarks used by the ship. There should be a separate set of postmarks for each incarnation of the ship (ie, for each entry in the "Ship Name and Designation History" section). Within each set, the postmarks should be listed in order of their classification type. If more than one postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest known usage.
A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an
image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

contains more history especially while the ship was named DERECKTOR.
"Lloyd’s Register of Shipping 1949 A-L" has three separate entries for name changes that occurred in 1948 - part of which appears to be
an attempt to catch up for changes during WWII.
- Page 419 has the first entry which is for "De Witt Clinton". The owner is listed as Samuel Derecktor and the ship is registered in New York with United States registry. There is also the notation: Now "Col. Frederick C. Johnson", see No. 90024 in Supplement
- Supplement entry No. 90024 is the entry for "Col. Frederick C. Johnson". The previous name is listed as "De Witt Clinton" with notation "-48" indicating that the change occurred (or, in this case, was registered by Lloyd's) in 1948. That actual date for the name change is 1942. The owner is listed as Samuel Derecktor and the ship is registered in New York with United States registry. There is also the notation: Now "Derecktor", see No. 90697 in Supplement
- Supplement entry No. 90697 is the entry for "Derecktor". The owner is still listed as Samuel Derecktor but the ship is now registered in Panama.
Lloyd’s Register of Shipping 1950 A-L page 489 has an entry for "Derecktor"
but with the notation: Now "Galilah", see. No. 36478 in Supplement.
Supplement entry No. 36478 has the entry for "Galilah".
It shows the previous name as "Derecktor" with notation "-49" indicating that the name change occurred in 1949.
The owner is now "Ness Shipping Co." and the ship is registered in Haifa, Israel.
Lloyd’s Register of Shipping 1954 A-L still has an entry for "Galilah"
but with notation: Broken up
Lloyd's Register of Shipping Casualty Returns 1953 on
page 15 in section "Steamships and Motorships Condemned, Broken up, Etc, Not Consequent Upon Casualty
(During the Quarter Ended 30th June, 1953 - As Reported Up To 25th November, 1953)", has an entry for
"Galilah" with registry in Israel being broken up in Italy.
