USS DRAYTON received 11 battle stars for World War II service
NAMESAKE - Captain Percival Drayton, USN (August 25 1812 – August 4 1865).
Drayton was a United States Navy officer during the American Civil War.
The U.S. Navy has named two destroyers in his honor - USS Drayton DD-23 and USS Drayton DD-366.
