Cachet Maker Gladys Adler
Cachets should be listed in chronological order based on earliest known usage. Use the postmark date or best guess. This applies to add-on cachets as well.
Gladys Adler, real name Gladys Edmiston, lived at 636 Rigsby, San Antonio TX. She used a PO Box in Bellaire TX because her husband worked in Houston and Bellaire was a small community next to Houston. She produced hand painted from 1936 to the mid 1940's. Thanks to Charles Deaton, TX Philatelic Assoc., for the article in May/June 2007, detailing Gladys and her daughter Florene Edmiston O'Neill who also produced hand painted covers.
