This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. USS CAVALLA earned the Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon, the American Defense Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 4 Battle Stars, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal during her Naval career.
USS CAVALLA SS-244 was at Tokyo Bay, 2 September 1945 for the Japanese surrender ceremony.
NAMESAKE - A salt water fish of the pompano family inhabiting waters off the eastern coast of the Americas from Cape Cod to Rio de la Plata.
The ships sponsor was Mrs. M. Comstock.
Two submarines of the US Navy have borne the name CAVALLA - USS Cavalla SS-244 and USS Cavalla SSN-684
