This section lists the names and designations that the ship had during its lifetime. The list is in chronological order.
Acquired by Uruguay and renamed ARTIGAS Decommissioned 4 January 1919 at New York and returned to the United States Shipping Board Acquired in 1927 by the Tramp Shipping Development Co., Ltd. of London England Resold in 1927 to Elias G. Culucundis and Stephen C. Costomeni of Athens, Greece and renamed "ELIAS G. CULUCUNDIS" Acquired in 1929 by Furness Withy and Co., Ltd. of London and renamed "TENTERDEN" Acquired in 1930 by Atlanticos Steam Ship Co. and Giorgilis Brothers of Piraeus, Greece and renamed "ELIAS G. CULUCUNDIS" Acquired in 1932 by Roussoas A. and Co. of Piraeus and renamed "ARGENTINA" Acquired in 1935 by Lloyd Mediterraneo - La Meridionale di Nav. of Genoa, Italy and renamed "VALSOLE" Acquired in 1936 by Bozzo Guiseppe - Armamenti e Transporti Maritimi of Genoa Renamed "TINA PRIMO" in 1940 Struck a mine and was damaged in the North Sea off the east coast of Kent, United Kingdom. Struck two more mines while under tow and sank 18 March 1940. |

Postmarks
This section lists examples of the postmarks used by the ship. There should be a separate set of postmarks for each name and/or commissioning period. Within each set, the postmarks should be listed in order of their classification type. If more than one postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest known usage.
A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an
image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.
