This section lists the names and designations that the ship had during its lifetime. The list is in chronological order.

Naval Covers

Other Information

NAMESAKE - Named for the sea lion, any of several large, eared seals native to the Pacific.

Two ships of the US Navy have borne the name SEALION - USS Sealion SS-195 and USS Sealion SS-315.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. Claude C. Bloch.
