USS ALSHAIN earned the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ one silver star, the World War II Victory Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal w/ 3 Campaign stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal during her Naval career.
NAMESAKE - Named for a star in the constellation Aquila.
