image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

RAYMOND earned five battle stars for her World War II service.
NAMESAKE - Lieutenant Commander Reginald Marbury Raymond, USN. He was born in Sewanee, TN May 20 1912 and was commissioned an Ensign on June 1 1933. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander before being killed April 29 1943, as a result of enemy action in the Pacific area, while serving in USS SCORPION SS-278
