AKRON-MACON Study Group

Composition: members interested in Lighter Than Air (LTA) covers.
Organized: May 1984 (USCS Log August 1985, page 85)
Organizing members: Bernhard M Vesper, Bill Boss, T. Michael Weddle, Wesley Clarke
The AMSG was devoted to the study of U.S. Navy rigid dirigibles. AMSG issued regular bulletins titled "ZR(S) Posts" from 1985 to 1990 with information about early zeppelins and sponsored covers.
The group sponsored a number of commemorative covers, some of which were issued with different colored envelopes and different postmarks. Sketches of various LTAs, drawn by Bernhard Vesper were also offered to members.
