image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

YELLOWSTONE received the following awards during her Naval career: Navy Unit Commendation -Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation - Navy Battle "E" Ribbon - National Defense Service Medal - Southwest Asia Service Medal - Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait).
NAMESAKE - Named after the National Park.
Three ships of the US Navy have borne this name; USS Yellowstone AD-2, USS Yellowstone AD-27 and USS Yellowstone AD-41.
