If more than one postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest known usage.
A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an
image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

AULT earned 5 Battle Stars for WWII and 2 Battle Stars for Vietnam service
AULT DD-698 was at Tokyo Bay September 2 1945 for the Japanese surrender
NAMESAKE - Commander William Bowen Ault USN (October 6 1898 – May 8 1942)
As Air Group Commander of USS LEXINGTON CV-2, Ault led his fighter group in successful attacks on Japanese Carriers SHOHO and SHOKAKU during The Battle of Coral Sea. Ault's plane was damaged in the attacks and attempted to return to LEXINGTON only to discover that she was ablaze. Ault's attempt to reach USS YORTOWN CV-5 and safety failed as he was never heard from again
