NAMESAKE - Counties in Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

There have been five ships of the US Navy named SOMERSET - USS Somerset (Side-wheel Ferryboat 1862), USS Somerset ID. No. 2162, USS Somerset AK-212, USS Somerset PCE-892 and USS Somerset LPD-25.
