Naval Covers

USS OCONTO earned the China Service Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal w/ Asia clasp and the Philippines Liberation Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A county in Wisconsin.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. J. Wallace Neighbor.
