"Figure S-74 was produced by a collector who worked in the Philadelphia Navy Yard, and was used on covers sent to members of a local stamp club. It was used during 1932-33 for<br/>numerous boats of the S-class, most of which were actually based at Pearl Harbor at the time. Both cancels (S-74 & S-75) indicate the submarine division to which the boat was<br/>attached, noted as "Sub Div" in the listings. For convenience, these postmarks are listed under the boats in question. Both markings are very elusive." From the Paul Huber collection. | |||

"Figure S-74 was produced by a collector who worked in the Philadelphia Navy Yard, and was used on covers sent to members of a local stamp club. It was used during 1932-33 for
numerous boats of the S-class, most of which were actually based at Pearl Harbor at the time. Both cancels (S-74 & S-75) indicate the submarine division to which the boat was
attached, noted as "Sub Div" in the listings. For convenience, these postmarks are listed under the boats in question. Both markings are very elusive." From the Paul Huber collection.
