Naval Covers

Other Information

USS JAMESTOWN earned the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal w/ 9 campaign stars, the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation Ribbon (9 awards) and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - Jamestown, Va., is the earliest permanent settlement established by Englishmen in North America.

Three ships of the US Navy have been named JAMESTOWN - USS Jamestown (Sloop, 1844), USS Jamestown PG-55 and USS Jamestown AGTR-3.
