USS LAKEWOOD VICTORY earned the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 2 Battle stars, the World War II Victory Medal and the Philippines Liberation Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - Communities in California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio are named Lakewood.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. Edward A. Fitzgerald.
