Historical Note: In December 1905, USS OREGON was ordered home. She sailed from Cavite on 10 February 1906 to Hong Kong for a brief period in dry dock before beginning
her homeward journey.

Transfer Order |
On 11 April 1900, with this one page document, the Commander in Chief, Forces Asiatic Station detached LCDR Charles A. Adams from duty on board USS BALTIMORE Cruiser No. 3
to duty on board USS OREGON at Yokohama, Japan.
The middle panel of the transfer order shows receipt by Capt. Charles F. Wilkes, Commanding USS OREGON on the same day the order was issued.
