Other Information

NAMESAKE - Captain William Rees Rush, USN (September 19 1857 – August 2 1940)
Rush was an officer in the United States Navy during the Spanish-American War and World War I. Rush was also a Medal of Honor recipient for the 1914 United States occupation of Veracruz.
An 1877 graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland, Capt. Rush also earned the Navy Cross and the Navy Distinguished Service Medal.
