    Recommissioned 1900 and loaned to the Ohio Naval Militia
    Transferred to the Naval Militia of New York August 3 1909
    Decommissioned May 21 1919 and joined the Reserve Fleet.

    After World War I she was reclassified as PY-2

  3. USS HAWK IX 14
    Redesignated IX-14 July 1 1921
    Recommissioned April 16 1922 and was assigned to the 9th Naval District (Great Lakes)
    Decommissioned February 14 1940

    Sold February 25 1940 to the Indiana Salvage Co., Michigan City, Indiana

Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. Within each set, the postmarks should be listed in order of their classification type. If more than one postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest known usage.

A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.
