Other Information

USS COBIA earned the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 4 Battle Stars, the World War II Victory Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A food fish found in warm waters.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. C. W. Magruder.
