USS PELIAS was at Pearl Harbor December 7 1941

USS PELIAS earned the Combat Action Ribbon, the American Defense Service Medal (with Fleet clasp), the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 1 Battle star and the World War II Victory Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - In Greek mytholgy, a king of Iolcus who sent his nephew, Jason, in search of the Golden Fleece and who, after Jason’s return, was killed by his own daughters at the urging of Jason’s lover, Medea.
