Sold 1906 to Norddeutscher Lloyd Steamship Lines Co. and renamed
Seized by United States Shipping Board at Pearl Harbor, T.H. 1917 and assigned to U.S. Navy


3. USS GULFPORT ID-2989
Commissioned September 1 1917
Assigned to the Naval Overseas Transportation Service (NOTS)


4. USS GULFPORT AK-5
Redesignated Cargo Ship (AK) July 17 1920 - Decommissioned March 3 1922
Struck from the Naval Register (Date unknown)


5. COMMERCIAL SCOUT (Commercial Service)
Sold May 25 1922 to Moore & McCormack Inc and renamed


6. LOK SUN (Commercial Service)
Sold in 1924 to Pei Lun S.S. Co. Ltd. Hong Kong, BCC, and renamed

Ran aground on Samson Island south of Hong Kong and burned out. She was towed to Hong Kong on 15 Oct 1929 and scrapped

Postmarks

This section lists examples of the postmarks used by the ship. There should be a separate set of postmarks for each incarnation of the ship (ie, for each entry in the "Ship Name and Designation History" section). Within each set, the postmarks should be listed in order of their classification type. If more than one postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest known usage.

A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.
