Naval Covers

Other Information

NAMESAKE - Admiral Frank Jack Fletcher, USN (29 April 1885 – 25 April 1973)
        Fletcher was an admiral in the United States Navy during World War II. Fletcher was the operational commander at the pivotal Battles of Coral Sea and of Midway. As a lieutenant, Fletcher was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in battle at Veracruz. He was the nephew of Admiral Frank Friday Fletcher, who was also awarded the Medal of Honor for actions at Veracruz.
        Admiral Fletcher earned the Medal of Honor, the Navy Cross, the Navy Distinguished Service Medal, the Army Distinguished Service Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, the Mexican Service Medal, the World War I Victory Medal w/ "DESTROYER" clasp, the Yangtze Service Medal, the American Defense Service Medal w/ "FLEET" clasp, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ five Battle stars, the American Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal w/ "ASIA" Clasp, the Mindanao and Sulu Campaign Medal (Philippines) and the Order of an Officer of the Imperial Order of the Dragon of Annam (French/Vietnam) during his distinguished Naval career.
