Naval Covers

Other Information

USS LANG received 11 battle stars for her World War II service

NAMESAKE - John Lang (June 17 1794 – ?)
Lang was a Seaman on board WASP during her engagement with HMS FROLIC October 18 1812. He was the first man to board the British ship in the closing stage of the action, and his ardor and impetuosity carried the remainder of the boarding party with him.

Two ships of the US Navy were named in his honor - USS Lang DD-399 and [[LANG_FF_1060_ | USS Lang FF-1060}}
