Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. USS LUISENO earned the following awards during her Naval career - Navy Unit Commendation - Navy Expeditionary Medal - American Campaign Medal - World War II Victory Medal - National Defense Service Medal - Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

NAMESAKE - The southernmost division of the Shoshone Indians of California, who received their name from San Luis Rey, the most important Spanish mission in their territory.
