Cachets should be listed in chronological order based on earliest known usage. Use the postmark date or best guess. This applies to add-on cachets as well.
Charles Thomas Eggleston (27 May 1942 - 1 June 2020).
Eggleston was a US Air Force veteran retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. He was also employed by the Department of State and his highlight of that duty was working with the Camp David Accords in the Middle East in the late 1970s.
Eggleston joined ACE (Art Cover Exchange) and was member number 242. Although his name was Charles T. Eggleston, his name within ACE was T. Eggleston Youssoupoff or Prof Thom and those names can be found on his address labels and covers. Eggleston also used "Uwe Youssoupoff" occasionally which stems from his sons middle name "Uwe" and "Youssoupoff" is an infamous name in Russian dynastic history. After he retired to Florida in 1988, he finally found himself as a college professor. He taught courses in Government, Politics, and English at Tampa College, Tampa Technical Institute, Remington College, and Florida Metropolitan University from his retirement until about 2017 or so. He also signed off his notes and letters with "Mooi bly und Prost", "Mooi bly" meaning "be well" (Afrikaans) and "und Prost" meaning "and cheers!" (German) picked up from his travels in South Africa and Germany.
Although he used a few different names in his life, for whatever reason, we have his covers to keep his memory alive.
