Other Information

USS PASADENA earned the Navy Combat Action Ribbon, the China Service Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 5 Battle stars, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy WWII Occupation Medal w/ JAPAN Clasp, the Philippine Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon and the Philippine Liberation Medal during her Naval career.

USS PASADENA CL-65 was at Tokyo Bay 2 September 1945 for the Japanese surrender.

NAMESAKE - Named for the city of Pasadena, California.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. C.G. Wopschall.

Three ships of the US Navy have borne the name PASADENA - USS Pasadena (1918), USS Pasadena CL-65 and USS Pasadena SSN-752.
