USS CALVERT earned the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, the China Service Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Europe-Africa-Middle East Campaign Medal w/ 2 Battle stars, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 6 Battle stars, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal w/ Asia clasp, the National Defense Service Medal (2 awards), the Korean Service Medal w/ 2 Campaign stars, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (4 awards), the Vietnam Service Medal w/ 2 Campaign stars, the Philippines Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon, the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation Ribbon, the Philippines Liberation Medal (2 awards), the United Nations Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A county in Maryland.
