USS EDSALL received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 2 battle stars for her World War II service.

NAMESAKE - Norman Eckley Edsall (June 3 1873 – April 1899)
Edsall was a sailor in the United States Navy during the Spanish-American War

Two U.S. Navy ships have been named in his honor, USS Edsall (DD-219) and USS Edsall DE-129.
