Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. There should be a separate set of pages for each name of the ship (for example, Bushnell AG-32 / Sumner AGS-5 are different names for the same ship so there should be one set of pages for Bushnell and one set for Sumner). NAMESAKE - Named for our nation.

Five ships of the US Navy have been named AMERICA - USS America (1782), USS America (1862), USS America ID-3006, USS America CV-66 and USS America LHA-6.

The ships sponsor is Lynne Pace, the wife of retired Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace, USMC.
