Five ships of the US Navy have borne the name LOUISIANA - USS Louisiana (Sloop 1812); USS Louisiana (Steamer 1861); {{LOUISIANA_BB_19_ | USS Louisiana BB-19]]; USS LOUISIANA BB-71 (Cancelled 1943) and USS Louisiana SSBN-743.

One ship of the US Revenue Cutter Service has borne the name LOUISIANA - USRC Louisiana (Topsail Schooner 1819).

One ship of the Confederate Navy has borne the name LOUISIANA - CSS Louisiana (Ironclad 1862).
