This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. There should be a separate set of pages for each name of the ship (for example, Bushnell AG-32 / Sumner AGS-5 are different names for the same ship so there should be one set of pages for Bushnell and one set for Sumner). If more than one postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest known usage.
A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an
image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

Other Information
NAMESAKE - Named after Carson City, Nevada's capital city.
Two ships of the US Navy have borne the name CARSON CITY - USS Carson City PF-50 and USNS Carson City EPF-7.
The ships sponsor is Susan Asbury Crowell, wife of Carson City Mayor Robert Crowell
From Defense & Aerospace Report:
Five of the Spearhead-class Joint High-Speed Vessels of the 2000s were first intended for delivery to the US Army and were given Army names.
They were renamed beginning in 2011 after it was decided all the ships would be operated by the Navy’s Military Sealift Command.
Additionally all the JHSVs became EPF Expeditionary Fast Transports in September 2015.
