Postmarks

Within each set, the postmarks should be listed in order of their classification type. If more than one postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest known usage.
A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an
image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

NAMESAKE - Brigadier General Dwight Edward Aultman (February 2 1872 - December 12 1929)
Aultman was an Army Officer during The Spanish-American War, and World War I. He fought in The Battle of San Juan Hill and at the siege of Santiago. During World War I when he was an artillery commander in France, participating in the Aisne-Marne and St. Mihiel offensives, he received The Distinguished Service Medal, and returned to the United States in 1919 as Commanding General, Camp Knox Ky. Brigadier General Aultman's last command was the Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, Okla.
